I figured I would join in the fun since my Mom and sister are doing this too! This will show my current projects and how I am progressing.

I'm twisted!

So, I am at my Mom's house yesterday, and we made a shocking discovery! I have been knitting my garter stitch twisted! I have been wrapping the yarn from front to back. Now, keep in mind that I am still a newbie, so I guess I kind of have an excuse. But I have 3 projects going that I have to finish in this twisted garter stitch, or they will look funny! Oh well, live and learn!

I think she means the stockinette stitch. We discovered this when I started her on an I-cord. She tried to do one row and it wasn't coming out right. Soooo, I asked her to show me how she did it and WALA, I discovered that she wraps the yarn from front to back when she is knitting, which twists the stitch. We will correct that when she finishes her current project, before she starts another one. Good thing the I'cord is so fussy or we might not have discovered this. Smiles!!!

Tee hee! I used to knit twisted myself. It didn't matter for my first scarves, but when I started knitting hats in the round, I couldn't understand why my knitting was so lopsided. Like you said, live and learn!

Hopefully you will switch over pretty easily. It doesn't really show in the pictures I have seen of your knitting. I guess I learned something new. Good luck!!
